I’m afraid that whenever I try to vary an answer to a question, I end up getting in hot and boiling water because people just put a headline on it! If I say I’m feeling sick, or I have the flu, the headling is Del Toro Sick! The Hobbit Cancelled!” |

It has to feel relevant and connective, and it has to feel seamless. That is the film that most belongs as a joining effort to the trilogy. And that's the film we're going to work the hardest on in the next six months. There are many more questions than there are answers at this stage. But in my heart of hearts, I believe we found a way to do it. I don't want to spoil it. I'm not being coy and I'm not faking it. I really think we found it, but I'm not at liberty or at a place where I feel it should be discussed. |
Now I am really curious. I'm anxious now that they have found a way. I don't know why... it doesn't change anything for us until we know something... but to me, when I know that there is something they have planned it makes it hard for me to not know what it is. _________________ Facebook

| Well that's a relief. The second movie is the one I'm most looking forward to. |

Good. But we still have to wait and see whether the second movie is going to be good or not... _________________ I would have followed you, my brother. My captain. My King. |

YES! More Middle-earth stuff to watch! The next headline will probably be: Del Torro Better! Hobbit Movie Goes Forward! _________________ Maegnas is my name, I am the spiders bane

I read this too I just started dancing round the room when I heard this, I was so pleased, I didn't think Del Toro would just throw away a good film for no reason!
Horray for Del Toro! _________________ See my new blog here |

I have one question...why? I mean why break the hobbit in to two films. Thats stupid beyond words. Look I don't them doing a Hobbit movie, but there is flat out no reason on this god green earth to break it down in to two films.
If Peter can fit all three books in to three films then surely they could fit one book in to one single movie.
I'm really disappointed in hearing this. I see flat out no reason to break the book up in to two parts. |

The first movie will cover the whole story of the book 'The Hobbit', whereas the second will be the link between Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, with material e.g. from the Appendices. So The Hobbit won't be really splitted. At least this is the plan so far. _________________ Sic hobbitur ad astra |
