Casting is underway, Mignola is on the WETA designing team.

Mike Mignola, artist for some of Del Toro's movies, will work on visualization togehter with Weta, Alan Lee and John Howe. A good third of that is already done. There are still a few actors possible as Bilbo, but no names are given.

Excellent it's awesome to see that John Howe and Alan Lee are on board and that they're making creatures. Sure is nice to see how they're getting on with this film, I hardly know anything about what they're doing at the moment. And I guess those casting details are a late Christmas present.

I would like to know at least a few people who are going to be a part of the cast by the end of the month, but I'm ok to wait. We've been waiting for this movie for years.
