Thanks to Sonja for informing me.

Quote:
“The Fellowship Of The Ring for me was the one most faithful to Tolkien. The one that had the most to do with any kind of subtlety in terms of performance and storytelling.

“Starting with the second one it became more of a blockbuster special effects thing. That’s not to say as that type of movie they weren’t the best.

"You can’t argue with the films’ success, but had it been me, I would have focused less on the effects and more on the characterisations.

That's an interesting statement and one I tend to agree Smile

I think he's right and would love to see him in The Hobbit. But that would have to be the second film. It'll be awesome to see Viggo as Aragorn again. The Fellowship of the Ring was my favourite one too.

I do like seeing cool effects and big stuff, but I like characterizations more. If they can focus on that as a backbone, and then accomplish big scenes then I will be pleased. I don't want this franchise to turn into the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

I agree. I loved Pirates of the Caribbean (especially the first one) but I don't think The Hobbit should be like them.

Yeah, black pearl was good, but i thought they got progressively worse, I could not follow the 3rd one at all. (though theyre nowhere near as bad as resident evil. Ughhhhhhhhhhhh worst movies EVER)

I actually really liked all the RE movies. I didn't like Pirates 2 or 3, they were CGI movies and nothing more than them trying to make a buck.

I would also love to see my man Viggo with a Cameo. Who wouldn't? I also tend to agree that the FOTR was the best of the Trilogy. The ROTK Oscar was just redemption for robbing him the first time and for the series as a whole I believe.

I'd love to see Viggo in the Hobbit, but actually it would contradict the book. Because if you check Appendix B of LotR you'll see that Aragorn was only ten years old and the ages of both Bilbo and Aragorn are mentioned in the LotR films so actually, it would get kind of weird. Shame though, (Aragorn, why weren't you born sooner?!) I bet that otherwise they could of done it nicely.

He could work into the bridge movie between The Hobbit and LOTR. He tracked Gollum and had lots of meetings with Gandalf.
