I think Del Toro would have done a great job, but he would always be second best!
Peter Jackson is much better!!!
Peter Jackson have already "been" in middle earth for three movies, so I guess he's the best choice for another two movies! Smile

I wonder how reliable the article is, since not even theonering.net has linked to it as official news, unless I missed it. I don't doubt he'll end up doing it, but the way this movie is coming along I want to wait until he comes out and says himself that he is officially directing AND that the movie has a green light.

Dell Torro is definitely a good director, but for "The Hobbit" Peter is simply the best.

I do appreciate your work and would have looked forward to the result, as PJ was not available.

But seeing the Ring-Films and the care PJ and all his co-workers had taken I believe this really could be great. Idea
